The 1st Grade Orientation Program was Held in the Mathematics Department

The Department of Mathematics at Balıkesir University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences organized an orientation program for the incoming first-year students of the 2025-2026 academic year.

The event was held in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences conference hall on October 6, 2025, with the participation of department faculty and students. The opening remarks were delivered by the first-year advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nihal Taş. She provided information about the Department of Mathematics' academic structure, curriculum, advising system, and various student opportunities.

Following the program, Department Head Prof. Dr. Necati Özdemir met with the students to share general information about the department and answer their questions. During this interactive session, students had the opportunity to directly communicate with faculty members on topics of interest related to university life.
