Important Steps from Balıkesir University's Mathematics Department: Double Major and Minor Opportunities

As the Department of Mathematics at Balıkesir University, we have established significant collaborations to offer our students an interdisciplinary education and career path. We have launched Double Major (DMP) programs with Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering, established departments within our Faculty of Engineering. Thanks to these new programs, students in the Department of Mathematics will be able to pursue a degree in engineering, in addition to specializing in their own fields.

This collaboration will equip our students with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combining them with engineering applications, to be better prepared for the professions of the future. Furthermore, our minor program with the Department of Business Administration within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences offers our students the opportunity to gain additional skills in business and management. This program will develop the ability to use mathematical models in business and financial processes, providing our students with a wide range of career opportunities.

Our department prioritizes interdisciplinary collaborations to contribute to the academic and professional development of our students. In this context, we aim to develop new protocols with various faculties and departments in the future.
