Successful Completion of the "ICAME'26" Conference with the Contributions of Our Department Faculty

The 4th International Conference on Applied Mathematics in Engineering (ICAME’26), chaired by our department faculty member Prof. Dr. Necati Özdemir, with Prof. Dr. Fırat Evirgen serving on the Organizing and Program Committees, was successfully held in a hybrid format (both in-person and online) on Cunda Island, Ayvalık-Balıkesir, between September 2–4, 2026.

As the fourth event in the conference series, ICAME’26 provided a platform to share current and interdisciplinary studies in fundamental areas such as artificial intelligence, optimization, control, fractional calculus, and operations research, as well as in various fields including engineering, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and finance.

During the event, six invited speakers from South Korea, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Poland, and Bulgaria delivered presentations. Additionally, a productive roundtable meeting tailored for young researchers was held with the participation of leading scientists in the field. The conference brought together 259 authors and co-authors from 34 different countries, featuring a total of 133 academic paper presentations. Following the conference, opportunities will be provided for the presented studies to be published as full-text articles in reputable international SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals.

Alongside the scientific program, the event was complemented by a guided tour of Ayvalık, a boat trip, and various social activities.
