March 14-15 Cahit Arf - Artificial Intelligence Workshop

The "Cahit Arf Artificial Intelligence Workshop" was organized in collaboration with the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and Balıkesir University (BAÜN).

The opening ceremony of the workshop, organized by the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of BAÜN and the Ne10 City Research and Technology Development Center, took place in the Malazgirt Conference Hall of the BAÜN Atatürk Congress and Culture Center. The ceremony was attended by Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Şahin, academics, and students.

Opening remarks were given by Prof. Dr. Ali Güven, Head of the Mathematics Department, Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Şahin, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. In the opening session of the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasif Nabiyev, a faculty member from the Department of Computer Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University, gave a presentation titled "Artificial Intelligence: Past and Present."

The workshop also featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasif Nabiyev: Presentations on the field were given in sessions titled "Intuitive Problem Solving in Artificial Intelligence," "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning," and "A Modern Perspective on Artificial Intelligence." The final session of the workshop was held at the Avlu Congress and Culture Center with the participation of numerous high school students from Balıkesir.
